Sealing films come in a wide variety of materials, each with its own unique characteristics. Plastic is a common material. Polyethylene (PE) sealing films offer excellent flexibility, moisture resistance, and are non-toxic and odorless. They are often used for food packaging, such as sealing yogurt cups and jelly containers. Polypropylene (PP) sealing films offer high transparency, good hardness, and strong heat resistance, allowing them to withstand high-temperature sterilization processes and are suitable for packaging foods that require high-temperature cooking. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sealing films offer low cost and excellent flexibility, but because they contain chlorine, they may produce harmful substances when exposed to high temperatures or burned. Therefore, they are generally used for packaging non-food items. Furthermore, there are composite sealing films, made by combining materials with different functionalities. For example, combining plastic film with aluminum foil offers the flexibility of plastic film with the high barrier properties of aluminum foil, effectively blocking oxygen, moisture, and light. They are often used for packaging products with demanding storage conditions, such as medicines and tea. Biodegradable sealing films are developed in line with the direction of environmental protection. They are made of degradable materials and can be decomposed in the natural environment after use, reducing environmental pollution. They are gradually becoming a new favorite in the market.
